REMEMBRANCE
In my bloodrun fields and oceans
The inmense pacific with its tropical jungle,
with the martydom of forgotten heroes
and historic ruins that fade with time
between statues restless to be reborn.
All this signifies a country, a nation
with its name written in blood
inherited for us, Salvadoreans at heart;
and what a long road we' ve traveled!
Like birds plucking the last breaths of the soul,
waiting for a morning when the sun will shine...
dissolving the wounds of our restless past
and disintegrating our mysterious path,
leaving only a horizon illuminated by hope
among beloved beings and others we cannot see...
Feel the fauna in your skin
And a new path in your smile,
giving a heart that beats with happiness
for a future that will makes us free as the wind
and inmortal like the fertile seeds of the Earth.
Here are your natives children invoking your name
together with a sole voice and heart
far, far away from you...
