    Our Soldiers

Our Soldiers go to war, they're not there to play, their mission, to chase evil away.
We that have other lives think we have it ruff, try sleeping in the sand with your mouth covered like a muff.
We go to restaurants, eat stake anytime, MRE's are a soldiers main dine.
We get to relax, sit down and rest, our Soldiers never get peace, they have to stay their best.
They have to always pay attention, be on alert, we sleep on a mattress, our Soldiers sleep in the dirt.
Our Soldiers from their families we send them away, hopefully, they'll make it home soon, some day.
Their sacrifice great, none like it in the world, their mission, rid evil of the world.
Each time you see a Soldier, tell them thanks for their sacrifice, it'll make their day.
Next time you think that you have it bad, put this though in your mind, whens the last you had to leave, and leave your loved ones behind?
Our Soldiers, that go out into the world, thank you so much for protecting our comfortable life.
I pray that God spares your life........................................

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
