No time or place

No time or place

I have memories that are not my own
Visions of a life that has yet to unfold

I have no time or place to which I belong

Like the phoenix I have come back again
I rise beyond death and time
There is something I forever seek
Remaining so close
Yet just out of reach

There is no space that can hold me
Nor ease the suffering of yet another round

I have seen the blood spill on the battleground
Watched as men killed out of hate and greed
Lived beyond the torture and even death
The warrior shall continue on
No matter how many times she bleeds

I have no time or space to which I belong

I hold within me the pain and suffering of others
That have long since passed
Relieving them of their pain
A year, a decade, an eon ago
My gift to them
For pain is a stranger no more

Without a future
Without a past
Just a pawn of destiny
I live through this life
Knowing it is not my own
That I shall be here until
My time yet once again moves on

There is no time or space to which I belong

For if the soul for which I seek is not soon found
My fate is sealed to fight once more
Another round is not what I seek
The body and mind are strong
Yet the soul gets weary
As life goes on

There is no regret or remorse
Just the pain that comes with the initial blow
The moment you realize
That nothing and everything matter just the same
For every end is yet another beginning
waiting to end again

I have memories that are not my own
Visions of a life that has yet to unfold

I have no time or place to which I belong

I loved the way you wrote this poem, is this the way you really feel, and you do belong

I only write what I feel...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
