Nightlife thoughts
I've lain awakeFor more hours than I can count
Listening to the world begin
Thinking of you
All the people I've known
All the faces I've seen
And how none remain,
Sometimes I wish
For what I cannot say,
My minds so tired
Of all the questions
But they won't leave
No matter the answer,
My eyes are heavy
But my heart pounds on
Leaving me to think of you
Where are you now?
What are you doing?
Who are you with?
I've wished for you
So long that I've lost myself
Will our futures ever meet?
Was our past significant?
In fifty year will you remember
All that we had,
And all the little things we used to say
All that we used to be?
