Poem Commentary

Not much to say on this one - obviously another love poem. I need a new subject! :-)

Nevermore Earthbound

Nevermore Earthbound

Nimble fingers negotiate

nerve transmissions.

Gentle invaders in a world

Of endless possibilities.

Shakespeare relived – recollections

of unrequited love – ridiculous

Now.

Majestic moments manipulate

time.  Catatonic.

Foolish yesterday with its

inconsequential concerns – blocks

of buildings held with the

mortar of elapsed time.

She in the center of a

center-less universe.  Ever-changing

to entice me further.

I live within

her eyes.  A gentle gathering

of  brandeis blue molecules – a

soft world

care catching.  Penetrating power –

speechless.  Wonderment welling

from within.  Trapped in a less

significant world where words

lose powerful feelings.

A sensual being encased

in an ecstasy inducing form

moving in grace

and lightness.  Movement

manifests in shades of light,

a free floating spirit coloring flower

petals and providing motion to

trees bending and singing her praises.

A euphoric embrace.

Childhood relived.

Autonomous man exists only in the mind.

The incomplete completed.  A ½ spin molecule

Turned twice

To show its full self.

Tear of happiness shed

by a holding heart.

Ah…to live within her world!

Her arms provide a boundless boundary.

I, within these boundaries,

am transformed into a shaking leaf

falling from trees, wandering through space,

attracted by gravity but upheld

by her powers of persuasion.

Never again shall I

venture to the ground for comfort –

now the expanse of space is my home.

Drifting devotes

feelings or grandeur – nevermore Earthbound.

Very nicely written and and it was romantic yet full of longing. It was like you lived in a paradox world.

i like your use of metaphors in this... your word choices kept the flow of it moving along nicely... well written

Thanks. I tried to use a lot of alliteration.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
