Moonlit Plea
Her misty eyes turn skyward,
Under a touchingly whispered plea,
Humbly, wuith hands lifted for a given answer,
Not yet in reach.
Silently the night listens,
Saddened by her plight,
Prayers and pleas fall softly,
In the still, cold silvery night.
She softly cries to the heavens,
And stands alone poised for a sign,
Patiently awaiting the answers,
For her moonlit pleas.
A child somehow neglected,
She bows her head in defeat,
Under her sorrow hopelessly unguarded,
She descends forgotten upon the ground.
Under a touchingly whispered plea,
Humbly, wuith hands lifted for a given answer,
Not yet in reach.
Silently the night listens,
Saddened by her plight,
Prayers and pleas fall softly,
In the still, cold silvery night.
She softly cries to the heavens,
And stands alone poised for a sign,
Patiently awaiting the answers,
For her moonlit pleas.
A child somehow neglected,
She bows her head in defeat,
Under her sorrow hopelessly unguarded,
She descends forgotten upon the ground.
