Love of My Life
No I missed you more.
I said it first and you know its true.
Add another to my score
Because we both know who missed who
You can’t say you did.
Not after me
What I say goes dear.
That’s how it works, you see.
Before you left
I made sure you knew
What I am here for
Who my heart belonged to.
I left it for you
A promise you see
All I ask in return
Is that you can promise me
All I have is my word
That to you I will always be true
If any were to object, it absurd
The Promises three to prove it to you
Promise One:
To you I will not lie
It not that hard to do
To be Honest and true I shall try
For what do I have to hide from you?
Promise Two:
Faithful to you Alone
My Lips shall touch no other
My mother of course the exception
And though Id rather not, my sweet little brother
Promise Three:
By your side I will stand
Helping lift you when you’re down
Keeping you close, holding your hand.
Making you smile, killing your frown.
You think to yourself I am a man.
Promises. Promises. You’ve heard them before
Ill shall not repeat them again
For I don’t want you to have to hear them anymore
I want to be the first and last to say
It’s you I want and with all my heart
To have you and hold you every day forever
Or Until Death do us Part
I said it first and you know its true.
Add another to my score
Because we both know who missed who
You can’t say you did.
Not after me
