Last Dance
Sing gently, softly, songs of woe
eventhough love come upon you unaware
takes you dancing on the air
swirling, twirling, hearts arace
passions rising, arms embrace
promises whispered, forever to keep
the music ends, and now you weep
Last Dance
Sing gently, softly, songs of woe
eventhough love come upon you unaware
takes you dancing on the air
swirling, twirling, hearts arace
passions rising, arms embrace
promises whispered, forever to keep
the music ends, and now you weep

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
