insanity
When I'm dreaming I only see glimpselight fails to catch the shadows
of me as I have fallen
then taken in by the flames
and tossed aside by the embers
I seem to stoke their fury
thus returning me to my damnation
while bitter cold takes what remains
and, if my eyes were open
and I could not tell the difference
would this be any kind of existence
if dreams can awake and shake you
and life tends to dictate your sleep
would it fray the threads
that hold the truth
and keeps my worlds from colliding
and, if I knew the answer
would it only add to my confusion
take away what has been given
leaving me with my on delusions.
