In The Arms Of Heaven
The sky grew dark above me
Dark clouds brought on by despair
This day I felt like giving up
But a whisper filled the air
God said: “If you feel troubled
Or life’s burdens bring you down
The path feels narrow, I’ll help you walk
The *SKULL* awaits my Crown.”
Tattered robe upon his shoulders
Crown of Thorns upon his head
The Cross he drags bears all our sins
I watched his tears turn red
I thought I knew how to forgive
But Jesus paid it all
And when he died at Calvary
The price I paid felt small
So now I get on bended knee
Look to the Lord with prayer
You’ll find his arms are open wide
There’s no sin he won’t bear
I’m in the Arms of Heaven
Arms are open wide for me
He took my sin and bore it all
Gave his life so I might see
I thank my Savior every day
For blessings in my life
Like work, health, and most of all
My children, and my wife.
