    see a lot of hand holding.
    Men holding women’s hands.
    Women holding other women’s hands.
    Men holding other men’s hands.
    Mothers hold children’s hands.
    Brothers hold sisters’ hands.
    Fathers hold children’s hands.
    Nurses hold patients’ hands.
    Yes, you see a lot of hand holding
    In Greenwich Village.

    I noticed a lot of hand holding in new york city in general. Maybe because there is much more walking up there but I too think an intimate thing that is special

    I wish that I could be there. It sounds like a wonderful place to be. I love holding hands. My brother holds my hand when I'm upset. I hold my mates hand. I held my girlfriends hand. It's such an amazing show of affection; at least to me.

    Greenwich village is known as the beginning of the Beatnik movement of my generation. Artist, poets, musicians all gathered there because of the liberal atmosphere of the area. Hand holding symbolizes the peace of love of that generation. You poem touches on the tranquility and love of that time and how it still prevails in those who still live in it's quiet solitude and in the shadow of the bustling city of New York. Nicely conveyed.
