Heart of Gold
Childhood memories of blissful times
Car rides, plastic swimming pools and sandboxes
All because of my grandfathers heart of gold
He showed me love, affection and care
Something I would have never had if he wasn't there
He was my rock, my shelter my everything
But now he's crossed over
Crossed over to where I can no longer have my long talks
No more coconut cakes and birthdays
Christmas cards, hugs and kisses are but a memory
He wasn't just a grandfather
A doctor, husband and father
Known by many and loved by all
Forever remembered and engraved in our minds
Eternally running through our veins
Leaving a legacy that will never die
Always a strong character and a symbol of pride
He was my all and will forever be in my heart
A doctor of medicine and a caretaker of all
Never worried about monetary payment from his patients
Only concerned with the health and well being of everyone
The love for a grandfather and the heart of gold that he always had
My love for him will never die
