Black Angel
Obsidian fur and amber eyes watch her prey
The pads on her paws make no sound
Pupils dialate and take in every movement
Teeth like the talons of eagles she bears a slight peek of them below her upper lip
Familiar is her job but lizards are her game
Love me is her motto and Gotham is her name
Crouching to pounce every muscle tightens like a springboard
Her sleek body is made to hunt and kill
The body of a killer and the mind of a predator
The sun glistens off her blackness like an onyx jewel
She is my jewel my treasure my black angel
Wings of tenderness and love from the heart
My heart is hers alone
She comforts me with a swish of her tail and a rub from her head
She is my love my black angel
Wicked little look when I throw her ball
Bounding to catch her toy before it escapes her clutches forever
But she knows I will wave my wand and bring it back to her
Mother to a black angel with a heart of gold
She is my sweet my black angel my soul
