Have You?
"Have You?"
Have you killed anyone yet?
Has anyone killed you?
Do you still have the eyes I loved so well?
Those eyes the color of deep amber,
of cognac when the light of a candle
is allowed to illuminate it's luster.
If I could see you, could you still see me?
And if not
Would it be enough,
Just to feel my touch?
Have you been the instrument of fate
that has led other men,
perhaps not unlike yourself
to their light, their Heaven, their Alla,
or whatever they choose to call Him?
Or...
Are you there now
standing before those proverbial...?
Allegorical?
Mythical Gates?
Do you now know if those streets are really
paved in gold?
Do you know the truth of what the
long
dead
prophets foretold?
If so... please plead, entreat, grovel, beg
to come back to me.
Somehow, someway, someday, anyway, everyway
NOW
Cause...
This might sound cliché
but babe
I need you with me.
I don't know how
to live without
you
I want you
I am crazy for you
and even madder without
Your touch, your love, your smell, your light
your darkness, your Heaven and your
HELL
So if you get the chance take
whatever form offered
whichever way to life is proffered
I am simply, plainly, painfully unready
to face this day, this week this month,
this year
this life without every divine
sublime, cherished rhyme of your
exiquisite moment in this time
your persistant existance in my world,
Your devotion, and your
SOUL
Dear, sweet, angelic, perfectly lovely,
patiently true, amazingly faithful,
and hopefully leathal,
\unwaveringly deadly
love so enduring,
all conquering
death defying,
soldier,
and
my
TRUTH.
