Getting Through

Poem Commentary

A peice with haunting eloquence.

Getting Through

"I want to be where you are"

"But you are"

Whispers through static currents,

Pondering the chemistry, of us,

In solitude a prayer to you,

Through layers, indifferent attitudes,

Love ministered, me wandering,

Endured frantic prayers,

Static currents whisper through:

"We're rare"

and "Your where I want to be"

a cry to be accepted great write and haunting in a way Marie

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
