Re: Are there any pretty lonely women out there...You have a good thing going there, Mr. Ink. I think I would have more success with your idea of writing a poem about being the loneliest guy on OP....then maybe, just maybe, I might get some attention from some lovely lady who wishes to make me unlonely. What do you think, Ink ? |

Re: Are there any pretty lonely women out there...Well, Mr. G, if I was to suddenly become a widower, can't say that I'd know what to do...probably stay lonely by default (and just gut it out). But you, on the other hand, are 21 going on 20, so the world is your Hometown Buffet! |

Turn back the clock, rewind your silver watch. A lovely vision awaits at the gate. Sharpen a fresh quill to write a missive, There will be a lonely maid on a hill That could well fit your sad and lonely bill, If you ride a cruiser ship, gallant knight, Not Bucephalus Alexander's steed, On your quest you will need to have more speed, But wing'd Pegasus on Jamaica .strand . Where sunkissed sylphs await a hero's hand. Last edited by cousinsoren 10-25-2009 at 01:21:23 AM |

Re: Are there any pretty lonely women out there...Wow....who would have thought this thread would have gone where it went with the title!!?? I was curious.... Looked like an attempt at a pick up line but what kinda chick would fall for that? Then, what's up with writing a newspaper story on it? |

"no pushing and shoving"? really? This all sounds a bit borderline demeaning, if not plain offensive. |

Re: Are there any pretty lonely women out there...All bashing aside that is. |

Re: Are there any pretty lonely women out there...Well, good grief. I never thought that this thread would go as far as it has. It started out as a joke, then came the fire and brimstone, posts from angry ladies, and not one sad pretty lonely women came to my rescue. Now, can I kinda humbly ask if I can have my supper...and I promise to be good...good with my manners, that is. |

Re: Are there any pretty lonely women out there...Darlin', you may just want to delete this thread ... |

Re: Are there any pretty lonely women out there... The main reason it seems that you are having trouble meeting women is that you need to think about how you word things and try to be a little bit more sensitive to their needs, wants and desires. All women want a man that will appreciate them for their mind and personality and will truly wholeheartedly listen to them as they talk about whatever is on their mind and take an avid interest in things that interest them. They want to feel loved and special and appreciated for more than just a pretty face or nice body. They don't want to be treated like eye candy, which makes them think that all you want is to get into their pants.Read some of my poems such as "Three Magic Words", and "What It Means To Be A Man." I think the insights in these poems will help to clear up some misunderstandings. |
A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
