Flowery Tomb

Flowery Tomb

the petals drift
landing softly
a flurry of flowers
like snow
gracing the earth

footprints appear
a fight
a struggle
petals disrupted
flying crazily

a figure falls
defeated at last
staining the white
with crimson life

the petals drift
landing softly
masking the earth
a flowery tomb

Hey Kid, I am back. Just posted a couple things. Hey, I like this one. I will read on.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
