When I met you,
I called you by name,
Then I came to know you,
And you then were mom,

You taught me,
Mom’s love is unconditional,
At first I took it as a fraud,
Now I take it in as a friend,

We had those nights,
That I kept you up till’ 1 or so,
Then those nights came to an end,
Because I came home early just to see my new best friend,

You took me in your home,
And now it’s my home too,
We laugh and joke,
Play games and well unfortunately I still smoke,

But once in a while,
Now that we’re a family,
WE also say those hurtful things and those not so playful games,
Then we argue or we stare,

We make it through,
We take it day by day,
And when we have a bad one,
We eventually smile and say that everything’s going to be ok.

We talk like its been years,
Our friendship and our tears,
Good thing our (your…LOL…JK) love us unconditional,
Or we could get a little fear.

I love you and I know you know it too,
My decisions weren’t meant to hurt you,
Not even a little,
Not even at all.

But since I didn’t call more,
Or give out a number,
Take my phone,
Or call dads cell,


I made you hurt,
Because I made you mad,
And I made you fright,
You didn’t know, death could’ve been near.

I’m ok though,
And you are too,
We can stick together,
And fight through n through.
