    Excuse Me...

Excuse me while I day dream
of intertwining fingers as we wander
through a bookstore down in Chelsea

    Excuse me while I think
    about standing close behind you
as we observe exhibits in the museum

    Excuse me while I catch
    the scent of your perfume
    wafting in the air

    And then...envision

    the color of your eyes
    the expression on your face
    as you glide above me

If I play my cards just right
    after learning you this night
then the years will take their flight

    while I beg for...

    Excuse while I remember...
