Poem Commentary

got bored one day, figured, why not.

Dreams

Your eyes flash steel
I know I've said something wrong
But like the sea returns to the shore
I feel your anger slipping away.
I know you'll always come back.

Another wind-swept evening. .
I watch through half open eyes
See you looking into the stars
and realise. .
Paradise can be here on earth.

Can't wait for tomorrow
I don't fear the dawn anymore
Cause your strength brings me peace,
A pyramid in a sandstorm,
you are my steadfast anchor.

Feeling the rain,
I look towards you, and see you smile
and the brilliance of love reflects in every drop
and I can see it now,
the light shines through the dark.

And as the cloak of sleep lifts,
I find you fading into dream again.
And though I know your never real,
I still feel your warmth,
and know you're never far.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
