Don't Wait Up For Me
Blinded I am by the sun’s rays
I shall only come out in the darken days
But please, don't stay up for me
It’s hard as it is, I’m afraid you have fallen far too deep
into the lonely violet light of my soul
and still you appreciate the quiet and all
The pain has stolen your sleep
Loves dark shadow can not only prowl in the day
but can also enter the realms of dreams
and still you continue to convince me of the never ending fall
To me and everyone else it’s bewildering
but to you it’s as simple as breathing and as difficult to let go
and the saddest thing is that I appreciate none of it
You sacrificed your pride; threw it below my feet
Man loves pride
But you found something you love more
Something that in your eyes is perfect
yet in others, it is filled with flaws that looks can't conceal
But to you there not flaws but differences
That you embrace with love
You dream about them and feel blessed
You feel that people like I are needed to help others
You feel people like I will change the world
I have hope that I shall
I just wish I could do the same for you
Because you have believed…
It will be hard but I shall live up to it
Now do I appreciate you, of course… and yes I’m afraid there is such thing as a never ending fall
I have watched you sink into the dark silent tunnel slowly, gently and unconditionally
