    an ode of freedom

“The best things in life are free.” This is utterly untrue. That is the ideal that is destroying democracy today it has infected the Church to every corner. People think they can just vote for whatever they want…and get it… they can just pray for whatever they want and get it...without toil or sweat…with out tears. Nothing with value is free! Only life is achieved through those first gasps, through pain and effort. “Free” things seem to cripple us, for then we surmise all things should be free and live life with that mindset. I think that whoever sang those words meant the best things in life are purchased with that other than money... which is just as true as his lyrics are wrong. Did not Christ have to pay for our sins? If we truly understood an inkling of what that statement means than we would fight with such ferocity against sin that it would flee us. But, alas we are weak and God must again save us. We are doubly saved? No! We are truly saved again and again by Christ from our sinful hearts as he gives us the power to over come in Him “For in Christ we are more than conquerors”. IN CHRIST, not of our own weak flesh.
Freedom? It you cannot know unless you are given it and how can slaves give freedom? It must be given by Him who attained it and unless you have received it from Him you wear the CHAINS of "freedom".
