Almost There
I'm almost there,
I can hear you calling my name,
In the darkness ahead,
You're crying in the night,
Waiting for me to console you,
I'm almost there,
I can almost see your face,
Your eyes sparkling,
With tears of sorrow,
What do you cry for?
I'm almost there,
I can feel your breath on my face,
Cry for me when I cannot find your heart,
I try but I am blinded by the darkness around it,
I'm almost there,
I see you in my dreams,
Laughing and having fun,
But only in my dreams,
Why must I always wake in sorrow?
I'm almost there,
I can almost reach you,
Through the bars of neglect,
But you shy from my hand,
Like I don't know your name,
As I scream it out loud,
Almost there.
