A POETIC THOUGHT
I should not try to
Write Poems nor Prose
I will never write better
Than the other poets
And if I do write worse
It will be as
If I cursed the soul of Poetry
And Yet
Last night I opened
The windows and doors
Of my Poetic Soul and went forth
To see the dwelling place of my poetic soul
Poetic justice must be unique
Verses fitting retribution
Justifiable departure from my soul
I placed it upon my parchment
And Yet
Poets have witting about everything
So now what is left for me
To write about.
And if I am not Published
My life will remain like a
Blank sheet in the Book of Poetic Existence
