A New Beginning
The tears have stopped streaming down my face.
The screaming has stopped and laughter did replace.
The wounds have closed and been stitched up.
No more times will I say I'm fed up.
The look on your face says it all.
You tell me you'll catch me if I fall.
The things you say to me when I'm sad and alone.
Even if it happenes to be over the phone.
The words you say calm me down.
My fears and sorrows I will drown.
Life is rough and full of surprises.
The better you do the more your chance rises.
Looking back over the years,
I wonder why I wasted my tears.
I should have been laughing and having fun.
I started my race but now I've won.
