A Fallen Angel

A Fallen Angel

A fallen angel
Fell down from the sky
My first glance of her
Was a twinkle in her eye
She was gracious,elegant
Wore a long flowing gown
Her glistening hair was adorned with a crown
As she turned her head
I saw her smile
She softly spoke
Come here my child
I am a messenger from God
Sent from above
To show the world
That God is Love

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
