Your Face
I love you still, always have. Breathing without you here makes my chest, where a once thriving heart beats now aches with sorrow. Longing to feel the warmth of our bodies intertwined with each other, under the night sky while a breeze blows in off the ocean waves sadden me with a love that once was but is no more. The love we shared I thought was enternally ever boundless was torn away then ripped with such ease. I glare at the rain pouring down turns into a slow drizzle. I dream for us once more. Closing my eyes, thought of you make a wish and pray it comes true. I watch the clouds part urning for your heart, out of the darkness a rainbow peaks. I glance up I see your face a smile that melts me away.
