"You have my word!", Echoes in my mind.
Or shake my hand, sign on this line.

Promises made but rarely kept
A shot rings out and children wept.

To weigh the good against the bad,
Or wonder what you could have had.

To say, "If only", when its too late,
In fact why bother right from the gate.

You see a child alone and cold,
A homeless family who's house was sold.

Their children have no hope in hell
Most likely they'll end up in jail.

The politions just lie in wait
For when its time to litigate.

They tell their lies to suck you in
In hope that you will vote for them.

It matters not who wins the poll
Theres no big change, that much we know.

At times I sit and wonder why
This worlds so cold, it makes me cry.

There is no waiting out stretched hands
No comfort from those so called friends.

One thing I've learned, and this I know
Have eyes wide open as you go......
