i lost another two long hard hours today
i painted some ones house and didnt get paid
life sure is getting tough and hard to deal with
and there aint no new scheems i can think of to steal with
i try to work for a living but it seems every time
i try try and try but cant seem to make a dime
i get up every morning at just a little after noon
i guess,and don't you think im getting up to soon
there just dont seem to be enough time in the day
theres only two hours left after brunch and a little play
when i went to school my teacher said i was illiterate and lazy
man for a scholar she sure is crazy
every time i try to make money on a project
the people dont pay me and say its a reject
have they ever tried to mow a lawn in two hours
with out running over only half of the flowers
people are always telling me i dont do things right
and for some strange reason we end up in a fight
im getting tired of puttin all my time in work for nothing
i think i'll get me a celebrity job and sing and act, or something
yes nobody appreciates any thing any more
they just say i'm over qualified and i dont know what for
life sure is gettin rough and hard to deal with i say
i think i'll just sleep in an extra two hours today
