Wing's

I used to have wings and I flew on the wind,
I was free to come or go on a whim,
I navigated by nature, I knew where to go,
My power was drawn from the earth below,
But flying one day a gun brought me down,
My freedom forsaken, my wings were bound,
I was kept in a cage and fed daily bread,
My existence was hung by a fragile thread,
In my fight for life from my life defiled,
I made my way back into the wild,
My wings are healing but I still cannot fly,
My spirit is longing so I know I must try,
To give in now and be content on the ground,
Would be a total loss of my life all-around.

I really like this one too. My wings are healing so this one really touched me.
