WATCHING AS THE WORLD GOES BY
Watching, watching as the world goes by,
Some waiting their turn, others too self-
absorbed to try.
Some sit and boast of angst and pain, yet all
they do is sit,
How can you receive a quick kick to your rear
when you never get off of it.
So caught up in your shade, that your tirade
loses all it's meaning,
As your anger fades, the truth cascades, down
from the glass ceiling.
You still share in the righteousness of all
your people,
Though your attempts to affect change are
painfully feeble.
And change does'nt come,so you get with your
friends and complain,
That's all you do come and plainly just sit,
Watching, watching as the world goes by.
Some waiting their turn, others too self-
absorbed to try.
Some sit and boast of angst and pain, yet all
they do is sit,
How can you receive a quick kick to your rear
when you never get off of it.
So caught up in your shade, that your tirade
loses all it's meaning,
As your anger fades, the truth cascades, down
from the glass ceiling.
You still share in the righteousness of all
your people,
Though your attempts to affect change are
painfully feeble.
And change does'nt come,so you get with your
friends and complain,
That's all you do come and plainly just sit,
Watching, watching as the world goes by.
