    'WAGING WARS'

Waging Wars as I battle with thw true emptiness of my being holding onto hope as i began to lose sight of my goals and my dream, searching desperately for something to hold onto as the darkness in my soul becomes restless and discontent.
I am thouroughly consumed in an existece that has completely become my own.
The darkness and the un-settleness in the secret part of me is greater than I.
For I am in a war you see, and although the battle is not my own as began to llok around I finally begun to understand that the war that has been waged is war against me and I am the soul barer of arms, often misunderstood and more overlooked for I am not a rare beauty or prize,
but if you had taken time to search the heart of me it is you that would have become more the wise.
tou see I am what I am ,but not at all what you see,a steong outward appearance is what I allow the world to see, pain and confusion is the greatest part of me,Although I seek peace and solidarity in the quiet of my soul I am still plagued by horrific aberasions that exist merely in my mind and haunted by memories of a place where I belonged not nor did I want to be,

You again exquisitely express the feelings one has s a victim of the "Stockholm Syndrome" in which one loses his or her sense of personal identity & identifies oneself with the oppressor. It's a sort of modern day witchcraft. In the poem, the spelling, cadence punctuation & (in some stanzas) individual wording need attention, but break yourself out of that iceberg you're frozen into & WRITE. You've got talent!!

thank you for your honesty and your compliments

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
