Unending Pain

This pain I have inside, has nowhere in which to hide.
My hearts filled with a crumbling tide.
Yet you come up beside me and try to remind me
how much your were kind to me.
How much you think your love is plentyful
yet I think it's uneventful
Waiting around like an unwound spool.
Leaving my heart in the gutter like a long lost puppy in the pound. . .
My mind  without a sound
(unfinished)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
