twisting..to fame
twisting, and shaking, with fluttering pain...i saw it once more, fall down like the rain...
my future was shallow, my time incomplete...
but with confidence held strong, i was sure to repeat...
I’d saw it come quickly, pass by like a flash...
senselessly moving away just to trash...
all i had desired, hoped for, and needed...
coming to my senses... have i been defeated?
I’ve been told not to waver, or to throw it away...
but as i look in their eyes, I’ve but no words to say...
they look to me needy, as if i can share...
hope that would help them, a peace they could bear...
sadly and broken i fall to my knees,
no one can see me, so please, will You please...
touch me and move me the way You once did...
destroying me Holy and helping me rid...
the me that I’ve hated, the past i adored...
the past that i know i could never afford...
from nowhere it comes and floods through my head...
and then you remind me, to that life I’m dead...
isn’t it strange to consider that view??
to think that life’s better with a murderer like You...
You killed me and burned all the evidence that proved...
that my life ever existed, and inside You moved
and standing defeated yet victoriously acclaimed...
I’ve no life to remember of which I’m ashamed...
You washed it, forgot it, cast into the sea...
my life as i knew it, the old part of me...
my sins been defeated, my future is gain...
so as i remember and fall like the rain...
I’ve only to remember... that You never do...
I’m hopelessly sold out... Father it's true...
I’m often unfaithful, and often a mess...
how is it You traded Your all for so less??
i mean to be worthy, i mean to do right...
But without You I’ll never be pleasing in Your site...
so with these words said, i think I’ve concluded...
that im only worth anything when in You im rooted...
my sin's been forsaken, Your loves no compare...
please use me to tell this, with other's i'll share...
Your beauty, Your virtue, and the Glory that's due...
to the only true God, none other then You...
Jesus oh Jesus, to Your wondrous name...
may You receive all praises, and receive all the fame.
