    Twelve, Seven - 07

    It was just one year ago,
    I asked you to be my wife;
    making the promise to love you,
    until my final breath of life.

    It was your choice to walk away,
    but my promise I will not break.
    I still love you, and always will,
    and for you my heart will ache.

    The love I offered you is true,
    and will never again be shared.
    My heart will be forever bound,
    even though you do not care.

    I hope your life will be fully blessed;
    and God will always smile on you.
    As for me, I'll sit and dream,
    a dream that will never come true.
