Tranquility
Sitting here on the mountain top
I sit and stare deep in thought
And marvel at the wonderous sight,of the sun rising in the sky
I see and eagle soaring high above me
Dancing on the wind unseen, flying in endless space
I see the beauty far below, houses, rivers, trees and more
And I wish I too like that eagle could soar
The quiet fills my soul with peace
Oh, what wonderous sweet release
To be free of the noise of the city
The noise that is now so far beneath me
I wish I could stay here forever
But, cruel fate hath said no longer
For I must now return to my home
But, I will return and it won't be long
I sit and stare deep in thought
And marvel at the wonderous sight,of the sun rising in the sky
I see and eagle soaring high above me
Dancing on the wind unseen, flying in endless space
I see the beauty far below, houses, rivers, trees and more
And I wish I too like that eagle could soar
The quiet fills my soul with peace
Oh, what wonderous sweet release
To be free of the noise of the city
The noise that is now so far beneath me
I wish I could stay here forever
But, cruel fate hath said no longer
For I must now return to my home
But, I will return and it won't be long
