I wish you would love me like you use to.
I wish we could spend nights the way we once knew.
So many things have changed over the past few years,
and I still seem to have several insecurities and fears.
I know in my heart you mean well and want to do good…
But in reality your attitude doesn’t show me any of the things it should.
I have to be honest and tell you how I feel.
After having your baby I have learned what’s fake and what’s real.
You are a great father and it shows through and through.
Although as a boyfriend, I wish there were more I understood about you.
If there were something I could do to make things right,
I would give anything, my all…any day, any night.
Until the day comes where I am certain I’m the one,
I’ll stop at nothing to show you I am here for good, with every rising sun.
