    Poem Commentary

1\20\08 I was going through a lot at this time and I had Jesus there for me and I know he will always love me.

    The Touch That Saved Me

All the anger, All the rage.
I don't care, My life is no good.
    Who could love me.
Push the gas, Hit the first thing.
Touch on my shoulder, A voice.
Don't do it, stop, slow down.
I love you, It's not your time.
Look ahead, what do you see?
    My children, Looking at me.
They love you, alot of people love you.
Remember that one thing and I can help you.
Don't try to end it all, its not the answer to it.
Look ahead to what you have.
Who is waiting there for you here?
I will tell you when it's your time, But not now.
Keep Jesus in your heart. I did and he saved me.

missnohandle: Jesus is the answer. I love the ending of this poem. Great work. Charles

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
