    The Tears

The rain starts to fall, people run away complaining, I stay, I lay down on the moist earth, allowing the rain to sink into my skin, the earth is crying, for she is not as beautiful as she once was, her grassy green fields are now lined with tar roads, her oceans polluted and I cry too, I cry out guilt for I am sadly part of the blame, I too have ridden cars down the tar roads, I too have littered once or twice, and I cry for me and for all of humanity, I sob and my tears sink into the ground, in which the earth replies with a loud groan of thunder and there I was sobbing and carrying on while the rain pelted down on my back, and then the rain slowed to a stop , as did my tears, and the sun started to peek out from behind the rain clouds and hope was gained, all our sadness was lost, for sometimes you need a good cry but then you need to move on, to over come your difficulty, to complete your challenge, try for the earth, try for you, have a little hope.....

    Beautiful.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
