The Nightmare
A boy curled in a corner, crying and beaten near death,
Covered in bruises and scars, and bleeding from everywhere,
Skinny and hungry from not eating for days and is lost at heart,
Then from nowhere a light appears and an angel appeared,
The angel stretches out her hand for the boy to grab.
The boy looks at her and smiles for the first time in his life,
He goes to grab her hand as he is shaking and stretching,
However, he misses as the floor breaks and gives and he falls,
Into forever darkness he falls, never to see light again.
His soul crushed and consumed by the evil of darkness,
His heart burns with an everlasting fire, and it fills inside him,
His mind gives in and forgets all that was good in life.
For years, he is alone in the darkness, just falling to an abyss,
Falling, he thinks that this nightmare is never going to end,
For years, he grows weak and in pain, never seeing hope.
Yet, as it gets darker, a light comes and the angel reappears,
She tells him that it is ok and to grab her hand for help,
He does not and asks, “Why should I, for u abandoned me.”
She touches him and he remembers the days of good again,
Starting to cry, he grabs her hand and whispers, “I Love You."
