The Mouse in the House
There's a mouse in my house and it's following me about. My father said to kill it so I wacked it on the head.
When I knew it to be good and dead,
I said to it now for some restful sleep in bed.
But when I awoke in the mid of the night,
the mouse was gone and gave me fright.
But then I looked with my wandering eye,
and found its tail hanging from my cat's mouth like a big piece of pie.
When I knew it to be good and dead,
I said to it now for some restful sleep in bed.
But when I awoke in the mid of the night,
the mouse was gone and gave me fright.
But then I looked with my wandering eye,
and found its tail hanging from my cat's mouth like a big piece of pie.
