The Life of an Ant
They work and they slave
All throughout the day
They know they deserve
More than to serve
They still go along
With what is so wrong
All throughout the day
She lies there and sleeps
With food coming in heaps
She engulfs until full
And uses no tool
She watches and waits
Behind her granite gates
With food coming in heaps
The soldiers were well
But all of them fell
The soldiers fell prey
And were all washed away
The soldiers came 'round
And tried not to drown
But all of them fell
The water poured out
From its giant spout
The water began
And all of them ran
The water resides
The population subsides
From its giant spout
All throughout the day
They know they deserve
More than to serve
They still go along
With what is so wrong
All throughout the day
She lies there and sleeps
With food coming in heaps
She engulfs until full
And uses no tool
She watches and waits
Behind her granite gates
With food coming in heaps
The soldiers were well
But all of them fell
The soldiers fell prey
And were all washed away
The soldiers came 'round
And tried not to drown
But all of them fell
The water poured out
From its giant spout
The water began
And all of them ran
The water resides
The population subsides
From its giant spout
