The Glory of Love
A fluttering heartbeat,
A smile sincere,
A tender voice
that draws you near.
You wonder how you reached this place,
filled with beauty, charm and grace.
You know in your heart that you can't leave,
You feel as though you have found a retreat.
You find yourself caught up it it's glory,
like you were a character playing a story.
Then suddenly you open your eyes,
by what you see, you are mystified.
You were not just part of a glorious dream,
you have found true love as it should be.
And even though you may not stay,
you take each step along the way.
Afraid to miss one tiny part,
afaid to have a broken heart.
So when the story is all said and done
even if you lose, you still have won.
