The Girl With Angel Wings
The girl with angel wings
Can feel her frail heart collapse
Like the Twin Towers,
So she
Holds on to
A skull with a pistol
Her inhuman rampage will
Glisten and glimmer
In human travesty
As blood runs down her face from a
Sparkling crown of thorns
Her heartagram
Burns as rest upon razor blades
Blades
Dulling themselves down
On vanes and flesh
Leaving three inches of blood on the
Pink, white and golden
Marble floor
And now
Exposed!
Her raw nerve endings
Bare, naked and in agony
For you and only you to see
This her favorite tragic fairy tale
“What will it take?”
She wanders
To be needed for more
Than her body
And for you to be what she wanted
But right now
The both of you are just
A sad song
Can feel her frail heart collapse
Like the Twin Towers,
So she
Holds on to
A skull with a pistol
Her inhuman rampage will
Glisten and glimmer
In human travesty
As blood runs down her face from a
Sparkling crown of thorns
Her heartagram
Burns as rest upon razor blades
Blades
Dulling themselves down
On vanes and flesh
Leaving three inches of blood on the
Pink, white and golden
Marble floor
And now
Exposed!
Her raw nerve endings
Bare, naked and in agony
For you and only you to see
This her favorite tragic fairy tale
“What will it take?”
She wanders
To be needed for more
Than her body
And for you to be what she wanted
But right now
The both of you are just
A sad song
