THE FINAL CURTAIN
I believe that every human mind contains
a special place that holds the hand of the
one it resides in. Clever and wise,
comforting in the grasp of sorrow. Leading
the way in times of darkness and despair.
That is how everyone gets through difficult
times, and lives on to enter another. And
there will be millions upon millions of
difficulties we must face in the course of our
life. They are all part of the plan to help
us grow up and get out of the comfort zone
we hide in.
As we overpower every crisis and file each
one away in our "personal success stories"
jar, we become bigger than we ever thought
we could be.
As we reach the end of the road, our life's
curtain prepares to close. We know that
our final bow will be a "thank you" to God
for each and every hurdle we had to encounter
that got us to the last act in our life's play.
He made us what we are today.
The curtain, now, is coming down.
I feel God's arms around me.
All the love I gave in life has returned to me,
surrounding me in warmth and light.
But the warmest, brightest source of light
is shining from within. Reflecting from the
true me that I, and only I, allowed myself
to be.
