The Crocodile
I watched you through the smoke,
your soul dancing behind you,
And from the look in your eyes,
I knew it wasn't through.
The embellished pain you were suffering
hurt me worse than you could imagine,
Stabbing me in the heart like a dagger;
I knew I couldn't win.
You twisted the dagger claiming oblivious excuses
No matter how I pleaded and how I cried,
I felt my heart
And it died.
Along with my hope and along with my dreams
And still I love you no matter how I seem.
So I watched you through the smoke
with your charming smile,
And I knew I was dead.
You - the Crocodile.
You shook my body
And the life poured from within
And with that my breath;
I knew I would not win.
So you are the victor,
but it was worth the risk
And that was the last time that
Life and I kissed.
your soul dancing behind you,
And from the look in your eyes,
I knew it wasn't through.
The embellished pain you were suffering
hurt me worse than you could imagine,
Stabbing me in the heart like a dagger;
I knew I couldn't win.
You twisted the dagger claiming oblivious excuses
No matter how I pleaded and how I cried,
I felt my heart
And it died.
Along with my hope and along with my dreams
And still I love you no matter how I seem.
So I watched you through the smoke
with your charming smile,
And I knew I was dead.
You - the Crocodile.
You shook my body
And the life poured from within
And with that my breath;
I knew I would not win.
So you are the victor,
but it was worth the risk
And that was the last time that
Life and I kissed.
