Tell me Which is You?

  • Didn't I tell you, what I believe... Did somebody say that....that love like that won't last? Didn't I give you all that I got to, give baby?

Tell me Which is You?

In the bitter, wintry winds you stand

Claiming that the pain I inflicted crumbled walls, made them fall

That I left the plains barren, full of chaff and refuse

Yet I have to ask, so many faces you wear, so which one is you?

Led by passion, spurred onward with desire, I came to want you

By what you say, by words that were sweet like honey

And empty like a fresh tomb

I fell headlong like Judas, the entrails of my heart spilt on the ground like the blood of the sacrifice

Yet I found nothing for all that it was worth.

I hung like a Roman Criminal, left to die and to rot and for all to see

Wanting nothing more than Love

Forced to move on, and sorry that I changed seasons without informing you

But with so many faces you wear, I don’t know which is you

Substantial, I stood as my name dragged through tears and much

Muck and pain

Could I bear my soul to be tyrannized by a lovely vixen

Who I could never be sure truly loved me?

Then bury me now in hopes of resurrection, for surely I have more faith in death of romance than the life of pain

Clarity, not blind faith, led me away

And all I could think of

Was which face I would see next?

Tell me, that you wear so many faces, so which one is yours?

HELLO, I misses your work...It took me a long time to view your work...But I am glad I did, as always your pain lends such great expression...you will always be my favorite poet...ssshhhh dont tell the others lol

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
