Tasty Cantaloupe

Tasty Cantaloupe

Oh, cantaloupe,
How fragrant you smell,
your intoxicating fragence,
delicate layers built so frail,
Unknowing of your coming demise;
to fall beneath the blade of the sharpest knives.
Oh why must you suffer in our maws,
our devouring, hungry crushing jaws,
you don't deserve this fate but alas;
it is too late for you are upon my plate.
and I am going to eat you.
