Take Away My Fear
As a child, I feared being in the dark
As an adult, I don't so much fear the dark as I fear
being left apart.
Not being close to anyone really
I'm scared of being left by myself
To face this world alone
With no one on the other side of the phone.
Sometimes I feel that God will NOT keep forgiving
Even though I ask with earnesty
I can not always see Him wanting me back
As though I were a broken knick-knack
God's grace proves to be glue of strength
For it keeps me coming back
Even when all I have to offer are the
broken pieces of this knick-knack.
As an adult, I don't so much fear the dark as I fear
being left apart.
Not being close to anyone really
I'm scared of being left by myself
To face this world alone
With no one on the other side of the phone.
Sometimes I feel that God will NOT keep forgiving
Even though I ask with earnesty
I can not always see Him wanting me back
As though I were a broken knick-knack
God's grace proves to be glue of strength
For it keeps me coming back
Even when all I have to offer are the
broken pieces of this knick-knack.
