stay
He slaps her, he kicks her, he says she'sunfit, to raise his child so she lets him
hit. Her fears are there like grass has dew,
she prays to God he'll tame the shrew.
If she could change him he would see, she'd
always be there to set him free. One more
chance is all he needs, to prove to her,
he's her good deed.
The fear of having to be alone, changed her
mind to leave, so she turned to stone.
To stay and hurt and always pay, she'll have
to be free some other day.
